New Micro Cab Setup!
Since moving to Portland, I've realized the fact that for a while most of my gigs are going to either be solo gigs or smaller club gigs. So I ditched the big rig for something a bit more portable. And I have to say, it was an awesome decision! I can carry my looper, pedal board, bass, amp, and cab all in 2 trips (one if I use a little two-wheeler). I've been a fan of Mike Arnopol's cabs for a long time. Check out Mike Arnopol Soundworks, you work regret it! Mike is making some of the best bass cabs out there right now. Before buying my small cab setup, I used an MAS-112 for a while, then I upped in size the stunning MAS-210 Flex cab. The Flex is his flagship. But after realizing I didn't need that much power (and weight), I recently sold the Flex and bought this adorable little MAS-109. This thing is INCREDIBLE. The amount of volume, punch, and clarity this little box pushes is truly baffling (and it only weighs 35 pounds). Needless to say, I'm loving my little micro setup. And don't let the size fool ya, with the Tecamp Puma 900 pushing 400+watts through the MAS-109 at 8ohms, this little beast can easily keep up with any small to medium sized venue!
